Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) department at KMC Hospital Attavar works to improve and restore functional capacity and quality of life for people who have physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. Physiatrists aim to maximise patients’ independence in daily activities and increase quality of life, unlike other medical disciplines that focus on a medical “cure.” Our doctors are vital members of the care team, designing thorough, patient-centred treatment regimens. To enhance function and quality of life for their patients, who range in age from infants to octogenarians, the department employs both cutting-edge and time-tested treatments.
